Dr. Daniel Mckay

Comprehensive ophthalmology – cataract, eyelid surgery, adult ocular oncology (eye tumours), medical retina

Dr. McKay received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne with honors in 2002. He trained in ophthalmology with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and was awarded the RANZCO Undergraduate and Ophthalmic Pathology Medals. Dr. McKay undertook additional fellowship training in cataract surgery & medical retina (Monash Health) and ocular oncology (Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital & Royal Liverpool University Hospital, United Kingdom).

Dr. McKay is Chair of the RANZCO Ocular Oncology Special Interest Group, Chief Examiner in Ophthalmic Pathology for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and is an editor and author of numerous peer-reviewed publications. He holds appointments with Monash Health (cataract, oculoplastics) & RVEEH (ocular oncology, general ophthalmology) and can therefore facilitate convenient and specialized surgery for patients within the private and public hospital systems.
